            The US and China on the Brink of War, Indonesia Neutral President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and President Obama met at the White House. Jokowi reiterate Indonesia neutral in the South China Sea conflict. | (Reuters) A + A- WASHINGTON - United States (US) and China on the brink of war or confrontation in the South China Sea after a US warship, the USS Lassen who patrol near an artificial island Beijing, shadowed by two Chinese warships. Indonesia itself confirms its position as a neutral party in the South China Sea conflict. 
            The attitude of Indonesia was announced by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who spoke in Washington, a few hours after US warships sailed closer China-made islands in the Spratly Islands, South China Sea. (See also: On the Verge of Confrontation, US Warships Warships China staked 2) Jokowi had a meeting with US President Barack Obama at the White House. Indonesia, said Jokowi, support freedom of navigation but he stressed Indonesia's position as a neutral state. "Indonesia is not a party to the dispute, but we have a legitimate interest in peace and stability there," the president said Jokowi, as quoted by news.com.au, Wednesday (28/10/2015). "We call on all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from actions that could undermine the trust which puts at risk the peace and stability of the region," said Jokowi.
